Sustainable Yachting Network
Updated: Oct 1, 2021
As part of my partnership with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, I am thrilled to join the newly formed Sustainable Yachting Network which is complimenting the Wood Forever Pact while keeping and expanding its values and mission, proposing sustainable solutions for the yachting world.
The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has a long history of working with the yachting sector and its related designers since its very creation in 2006 and notably looking at sustainable wood sourcing through the Wood Forever Pact. This year the Foundation has decided to develop its commitment through its brand new initiative: the Sustainable Yachting Network.

The SYN - in partnership with the Monaco Yacht Club, the Monaco Yacht Show, the Cluster Yachting Monaco and the Ramoge Agreement Secretariat - is a membership-based network, gathering actors of the yachting sector around the globe on the themes of eco-responsibility and sustainability, with the goal to promote and develop best practices and innovative solutions through three lines of operations:
a) Organising “match-making oriented” conferences and events meant to be effective in linking new sustainable solutions with yachting actors. b) Providing timely, condensed and effective information on new eco-responsible solutions, technologic advancements, projects and regulations.
c) Supporting projects and programs which promote and drive the development of new eco-responsible solutions for the industry and/or link environment conservation with the yachting world.
The SYN was announced in January by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco at the Boot Düsseldorf 2019, and it already regroups in March 2019 as a network of more than 130 actors and will be officially launched during the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2019.
